The Founder: Gerhard Bonnet

Since Gerhard Bonnet discovered his passion for holography in his early years, his way is influenced by the will of creating visual worlds of incomparable beauty and perfection with the help of new trendsetting technologies.
His studies in physics, math, information technology and engineering did not allow much opportunity to expand his creative energy. Eventually, he took a few breaks from his studies, travelled around the world, became a scuba diving instructor, and worked as crew member on sail boats. During that time, he let the light and places sink in. Those were the dimensions that inspired him later to develop pioneering technologies which are still unbeaten.
With this in mind, Gerhard Bonnet graduated in 1998. While studying for his PhD, he simultaneously began with his research on first “own” products. Driven by passion and curiosity, he learned that he wanted a job which gave him the needed space for the realization of his vision. This wish for freedom did not only determine his work, it is still the foundation of what he wants to achieve for everyone today.
In 2000, Gerhard Bonnet co-founded SPHERON-VR. The products and technologies which he initiated and developed were always years ahead, and this holds true today. Thus, his knowledge and competence certainly play an important role. However it needs more to achieve own visions, especially those that even among experts still apply as utopia. Gerhard Bonnet succeeded to persuade and fascinate others for his vision and unfailing pioneer spirit.
Since passion, enthusiasm and joy characterize his own actions, Gerhard Bonnet never judges anybody based on their title, or origin. In his company, everybody who is interested in visionary goals will find the necessary space to unfold their own abilities to the utmost.
For Gerhard Bonnet and his team, it is not a question of qualification, but the will to go beyond oneself. The belief in the shared vision and the freedom to realize these make it possible to always discover new horizons.
