SPHERON-VR, specialist for visual technologies, presents the latest generation of its HDR Camera System at the world's biggest trade fair for the photographic and imaging industries, Photokina, held in Cologne, Germany.

SPHERON-VR’s camera system, the SpheroCam HDR, captures full spherical images in highest quality to be used within both general scene documentation and advanced 3D Computer Graphics. At Photokina SPHERON-VR will present the latest technology from its newly formed CGI division SPHERON-CGI.

The unique SpheroCam HDR takes a complete scene with all light values, from the darkest shadow areas through to the brightest sunlight, and in highest resolution within a single scan operation. Or technically spoken: The 32-bit SpheroCam HDR records 26 f-stops of exposure data, capturing a 360° x 180° degree full spherical image, with a resolution of up to 50 mega pixels.

SPHERON-CGI will show the latest release of its OneClick-Software for the SpheroCam HDR: An intuitive touch-screen interface and optimized exposure algorithms allow for completely automated HDR image capturing. The camera solution now also comes with fully integrated 3D measurement, as well as a direct export of 3D-data to Autodesk Maya.
