'We are the photographers’ puppet; an extension of their hands.“ This is the way Johan Visschedijk described 809cgi, the company he established 2007 together with Dick Boot. In April 2008 Andreas Rücker joined the Team as the German office was opened in Düsseldorf.
809cgi - a creative team of photographers, 3D operators and image processing experts -creates computer generated images (cgi) with the mission to get indiscernible from photography. They use SPHERON-VR technology to record the light sources and the environment reflections. "That’s how the images get as true-to-life as possible," Johan exlains.
Among their international clients are Audi, Volvo & Philips. 809cgi also uses the technology for other products than cars, as there are huge advantages to be achieved within product photography, using cgi.
809cgi is based in Utrecht, Netherlands and Düsseldorf, Germany.
