Software

Multi-user

  • SceneCenter Master Server is an integrated solution for internal and stationary use, while SceneCenter Mobile Server is optimized for usage on site.
  • Both solutions enable to work on cases with a large number of users concurrently. They both operate on Microsoft Windows Server or Debian Linux.
  • Built with the latest Microsoft .NET technologgy.

Single-user

  • SceneCenter Standalone is designed and optimized for one single user and can be used mobile.
  • It operates on Microsoft Windwos XP & Vista.

Security and administrative tasks

  • Dedicated project-, role-, and rights management.
  • Easy installation and update of server and client software.
  • Extensive system logging facility.

Feature List

Data management

  • A complete documentation of a scene or site is saved as a
    so-called “case”.
  • Archiving and de-archiving of cases.
  • Individual team members can be assigned to a case.
  • Case templates for easy re-use of existing structures.

File import and export

  • Full spherical images and measurement pairs (SceneCam® files); standard digital images (JPEG, TIFF, GIF, BMP, PNG, TGA).
  • Videos (AVI, WMV, MPEG and QuickTime); Audio files (WAV, MP3, AAC, many more).
  • Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF); Adobe Flash files (SWF) for animations.
  • Links to external web sites and streaming video servers.
  • Multiple files of different types can be imported in one batch.

Interconnection of data and information

  • In photos and spherical images so-called “hotspots” (icons) mark links to any related data element.
  • Keywords allow to filter the view:
    • Add one or more keywords to any data element like documents or images. In other words: add keywords to hotspots. Then filter by keywords - they also get specific colors for easy orientation.
    • Result: only hotspots with chosen keywords are displayed.

Full spherical image viewing

  • Zooming and panning using mouse and keyboard.
  • Adjusting exposure on high dynamic range images.
  • Load-on-demand of data minimizes network load.
  • 3D measurements within pairs of full spherical images.
  • Display of GPS coordinates (if available in full spherical image).

Navigation

  • Intuitive visual navigation with “hotspots” directly within the image: switch between captured sites or scenes with a simple mouse click.
  • Additional: classical navigation via tree view and folder structure (well known from Windows Explorer view).

Publishing case for interactive use (SceneCase)

  • Publishing of an individual data selection to file storage, enabling interested parties to interactively view the case.
  • Published cases can be run on any Windows PC - even with minimal access privileges - without having to install or de-install anything (no residual files or data left on the PC).
