SPHERON-VR presents a first – live action HDR Video sequence.

Spheron-VR AG, known globally as pioneers in HDR (High Dynamic Range) capture device technology and experts in precision engineered equipment & imaging optics, will today show publicly for the first time the capabilities and results from their HDR video camera. On display at Siggraph in Los Angeles will be HDRv footage from this unique device.


A prototype of the HDR video camera was first revealed at Siggraph in New Orleans. Through further research and developments over the past year, this functional prototype technology can now boast features such as – 50 x EXR frames per second, in full High Definition, with each frame containing up to 20 f-stops of dynamic range.

During this years Siggraph on Spheron’s exhibition stand the results of this production piece will be shown. The final pipeline for this ground-breaking production has included assembling this in the popular full 32-bit Film editing software suite - Nuke from The Foundry.
