Leica Geosystems and Spheron-VR collaborate to offer the ultimate 3D / HDR-colour point cloud
Spheron-VR AG known globally as pioneers in HDR (High Dynamic Range) camera technology are today pleased to announce their collaboration with Leica Geosystems to deliver a joint solution to generate the ultimate 3D / HDR-colourised point cloud.
With close to 200 years of pioneering solutions to measure the world, Leica Geosystems solutions are trusted by professionals worldwide to help them capture, analyse and present spatial information.
Now partnering here with SpheronVR to offer the SpheronLite solution: the highest quality colourised point clouds are now possible with any of the Leica Geosystems P-Series ScanStations. With the new SpheronLite camera combined with the Leica ScanStations, point clouds are realistically colourised for easier data interpretation in Cyclone and Cloudworx software and more vivid TruView depictions.
“Leica is delighted to offer its HDS customers the best-in-class HDR imaging technology to deliver results that are unmatched in the industry” said Jürgen Mayer, Business Director HDS, Leica Geosystems AG .
Cyclone now automatically imports the SpheronLite full dome panoramic images and automatically matches them to the point clouds created by the ScanStation for faster and more accurate deliverables.
The SpheronLite solution is a unique camera device designed from the ground up for taking outstanding, full-spherical 360° x 180° High- Dynamic Range images automatically. The system captures incident real-world HDR over the full dome in a single pass and creates a unique single image data file.
“Users can expect highest quality, geometrical accuracy and lighting analysis to deliver exceptional results” said Gerhard Bonnet, CEO, SpheronVR AG.
